RPC- changes in leadership

Dear families,

As we continue our work on faculty and staff placements for the 2018-2019 school year, there is one important transition that I want to share with you now.

Lori Talbott has accepted a Team Teacher position at our Lower School campus. During her tenure as RPC president over the past 3 years, Lori has been a tireless partner with our parent community and reorganized the structure of RPC to allow for more parent involvement. Her most recent commitment as a long term substitute teacher did not stop Lori from hosting a wide variety of informative RPC coffee talks, organizing the annual Roeperfest, celebrating the work of our faculty and staff, and welcoming new parents to our community. We are very grateful for the dedication Lori has shown through her thoughtful leadership and we are excited to welcome her as a faculty member.

Moving into the next school year, I am pleased to welcome Sarah Miller as our incoming RPC president. Sarah and her husband, Kenny, are parents of Alexa (11th grade in the fall) and Elyse (7th grade). Throughout her 4 years as a Roeper parent, Sarah has proven to be a dedicated and valuable volunteer, serving as RPC VP of Communications for the past 3 years. Among her many contributions, she helped coordinate our new parent liaisons and created a newsletter to help our newest families feel more welcome and connected to our community. Sarah deeply embraces the core tenets of the Roeper Philosophy and is committed to fostering an inclusive and engaged parent community. We look forward to partnering with Sarah in her new role.

Before summer vacation ends, more announcements will follow regarding placements and hirings. In the meantime, please join us as we welcome Lori and Sarah in their new roles.
