I hope you enjoyed our first annual Mariann Hoag Scholarship Dinner. From the opening reception in the Town Center Atrium, to the moving words of our alumni, to the incredible dinners hosted by our amazing families and alumni, the evening was a huge success!
Thank you for giving your time and resources to support our scholarship program. We see every day the amazing work of our incredible students and all they do to make a difference in our community. The funds we raised to support need-based financial aid and scholarships make it possible for us to enroll this diverse group of leaders. George and Annemarie talked about preparing the next generation for an unknown future, how better to do that then by making a Roeper education accessible to more students.
Thank you to each host family for opening your homes to this new event; your graciousness helped make this a wonderful evening for our whole community. Thank you to our planning committee and our Co-Chairs Heidi Brode and Donna Silk for developing a concept and seeing the potential in this unique idea. Thank you to our Development Team and our Development Director, Denita Banks-Sims, for your oversight and guidance of the project. And finally, a very special thank you to Katie Buchmann for leading this project and guiding it to success.
Events like Saturday only happen because you choose to invest in our students, teachers and program. I am incredibly grateful to you for your support and for making The Roeper School a priority in our giving.
I know Mariann would be proud of all we accomplished Saturday night, as she implored our students, “We truly took care of this place!”
