The butterfly gardens are starting to bloom, the bubbling sound of the Bloomfield Hills creek is filling the air, and memories of ‘Ology Projects, Passion Projects, Senior Projects, concerts, plays, games, matches, debates, fairs, guest speakers, Disco Assemblies, enrichment activities, Stinky Fish, and so, so many more events and activities have been stored in our minds as rites of passage. The old Adams School smokestack has come down, and the hum of construction is starting to fill the air in our Birmingham Courtyard – it’s time for us to close the year.
A walk through our campus and you can hear the sounds of summer beginning to echo in the halls and on the fields; our students are spending more time outdoors and making great plans for the weeks of sunshine that quickly approach. As we enter June, I want to wish our community a happy and a safe summer break. This has been a wonderful school year filled with good work, friendship and community spirit.
I want to say a special thank you to our students who helped to make school life so special, joyous and memorable. As we begin our 75th anniversary celebration in the fall I know you will make our own historical mark on this amazing school.
Best wishes to our graduates and their families as they move on to universities and colleges around the country. I look forward to hearing about your adventures and invite you, as Roeper School Alums, to share your stories.
Have a great summer!
