This year the 41 student Stage IV choir is presenting The Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert and Sullivan. This long standing tradition is a milestone for Stage IV students who look forward to it from the time they see the older kids perform when they were in Stage II. The play is double-cast, so that 21 kids have a featured role one night, while the other 20 sing in the chorus. The next night the roles are flipped. That allows all of performers to have a featured role in the show. There are many soloists, and some small ensembles singing, as well. Jennifer Evanson and Laura Ambrose direct the show, Deb Veillette works with students to design and build the set, Tech Director, Ttari Helmer does the sound and lights and Bonnie Schemm in the Development office creates the program. This year, Middle School student Mia DeCerchio and alum, Christina McDaniels will be helping out. Alum Star Williams will once again design pins for the musical.
Families in all Stages are encouraged to come as are older students who remember fondly their moment of fame when they were in Stage IV!
Performances will be in the Community Center Gym so there is plenty of seating available; no advance tickets needed. Handicapped access seating should be reserved in advance by emailing Jennifer the date and number of seats desired. Show times are:
