Roeper Baseball through the Bloomfield Hills Baseball Legaue

Roeper is a member school of the Bloomfield Baseball League.  Roeper students can register for the Bloomfield Baseball League and they will be put on teams with other Roeper students and will be coached by Roeper parent volunteers.  Regular registration goes through February 28, 2018.  There is a discount for registering before the end of January.

We will be forming teams in the following divisions:

Shetland T-Ball/coach pitch division (Stage I students who are 5 by May 1 and stage II 1st years). Our popular T-Ball division is perennially filled to capacity! For many kids, this first introduction to the game will begin with very light practices and an 8-game schedule. These first timers will experience batting off a combination of batting tees and coach pitching. Games and practice will be held on Sunday or Monday and Thursday or Friday evenings. Spring Season May 7–June 8.

Pinto Division I. (stage II 2nd years) Baseball basics are stressed at this level. Players are taught the basic rules of baseball as well as the fundamentals of throwing, fielding, hitting, base running and how to catch a ball. When batting, the player’s own coach pitches. Playoffs immediately follow 12-game regular season. Games will be played primarily on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Spring Season – April 23-June 10

Baseball Pinto Division II (Stage III 1st Years). Baseball basics are stressed at this level. Players are taught the basic rules of baseball as well as the fundamentals of throwing, fielding, hitting, base running and how to catch a ball. When batting, the player’s own coach pitches. Playoffs immediately follow 12-game regular season. Games will be played primarily on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Baseball Mustang Division (Stage III 2nd years and stage IV 1st years). This level introduces the complete game. Players pitch to the opposing batters but are restricted to three innings per game per pitcher. Baseball fundamentals are stressed. Stealing bases and bunting are introduced at this level. This year this group will be broken into two divisions, one for stage III 2nd years and one for stage IV 1st years.  In the younger division, coach pitch may be used.  Playoffs immediately follow 12-game regular season. Games will be played primarily on Monday, Wednesday & Friday evenings.  Spring Season – April 23-June 10

Baseball Bronco Division (Stage IV 2nd years & 6th graders). Players advance to a larger diamond. Advanced fundamentals are introduced. Playoffs immediately follow 13-game regular season. Games are primarily on Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday evenings.  Spring Season – April 23-June 10
