Reptiles Visit Stage I

Stage I had an up close and personal reptilian experience on Tuesday. Colleen Shelton brought in David Critchlow from the Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary in Athens, Michigan, who held all of the Stage I classes spellbound for almost two hours. From his website:

The theme behind Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary is to create a natural environment for all the rescued animals to live out their lives, and to allow the public to see how they live and behave in that environment. The mission of Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary & Zoological Garden’s is to inspire and educate people to care for the environment by providing fun and educational experiences that lead to understanding the natural world.

Some very brave children held small alligators and snakes and all of the children could touch them and take a ride on a 70 pound tortoise.
