Stage IV Girls: Join the FIRST LEGO Robotics Team

For the last two years, the Roeper Girl Scout FIRST LEGO Team successfully advanced to the State competition for. Most of the girls from that team went on to Middle School so we need three to six girls and two parent coaches to participate in this year’s competition. All roles are available to be filled and no previous experience is necessary. This is a good opportunity for girls to work together as a team and to challenge themselves to create a robot while learning engineering concepts.

If your daughter is not already a Girl Scout she must join for $25 a year, but is not required to be an active Girl Scout. There will be a fee for participating in the regional tournament and if you advance to States. You can find more information at this WEBSITE

FIRST LEGO League is a competition involving:
*building and programming of EV3 robots (controller and building blocks supplied by Girl Scouts)
*developing and presenting a project solving a problem around this year’s theme: “Into Orbit”
* practicing and demonstrating good communication and teamwork
