Roeper Choir Concert – A Remarkable Journey!

full choir

Thanks to all who came out on a cold, snowy school night to enjoy our Winter Journey Choir Concert. The evening was packed with music from around the world with solos, instruments and singers combining in many ways. Some of the many highlights: Men of Dissonance brought the house down with “Build Me Up, Buttercup”; an emotionally sweet rendition of “Ahrirang (Korean Folksong)” from the Concert Choir; playful and romantic “Dance on My Heart” by the women of Concert Choir and Harmonia (7th/8th Grade girls); “Cerf-Volant” in French from (6th Grade girls) TrebleMakers; the 5-voices of Small Choir wowed the crowd with their a cappella arrangements, and the Full Chorus came together in a rousing finale”Baba Yetu,” a Swahili song from the video game, Civilization IV.

The crowning glory was a deliciously festive Afterglow Reception hosted by Linda Ban and Gloria Despard, complete with punch, hot eats and delicious treats to satisfy singers and audience alike.

Happy Holidays to All!
