Middle School Students Work in the Neighborhood for a Good Cause!

Roeper’s Middle School Student Government is sponsoring a service project which helps a Poppleton Park neighbor and a charity. Starting last year during the fall and spring and continuing this fall, Roeper middle-schoolers worked for a Birmingham Campus neighbor, Linda Marinovitch, doing yard work and in exchange, Linda donated $10 per student hour to charity.

This fall Meredith Grekin, William Hoover, Maguire Smith, Francis Allen, Peter Sznewajs, Ellie Saham and Ella Egrin earned $110 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a charity that M.S. Student Government selected. Linda has already expressed an interest in hiring our students this upcoming spring and students are excited about this fun way to help out the CF Foundation.
