8th Grade Transition Parent Meeting and Open House

What’s Upper School All About?

On Thursday, November 15, 2018, we are having an important presentation for our current 8th grade parents from 8:30 – 10:30am. The event, in the style of an Open House, will begin in the Café of the Dennis Naas Learning Commons on the Birmingham campus, and will include a tour of the campus while classes are in session. Hear from the middle and upper school directors about the changes your child will be experiencing as they transition into Upper School next year. Karen Johnson will also guide you through the academic expectations and social opportunities for our Upper School students. You will have the opportunity to hear from a panel of Upper School students and parents sharing their distinct upper school perspectives, choices, and experiences.

We would also like to address any questions or concerns you may have. Please forward your questions, in advance, to karen.johnson@roeper.org by Friday, November 9th.

If you have already experienced the middle to upper transition with another child, please attend and share your experiences. As always, it is important to come together as a community to help our children prepare for a major life shift. We look forward to meeting with you on November 15.

Brian Corley, Middle School Director
Karen Johnson, Upper School Director
Jason McIntosh, Assistant M/US Director & Dean of Admissions
