Boys’ Varsity Basketball – by Coach Andahazy
Experience, depth and the inability to rebound doomed the Boys Varsity Basketball team at Parkway Christian on Tuesday, February 16th. But the Roughriders bounced back with a strong effort
against Rochester Lutheran Northwest. Freshman Randy Pierce made three 3pt baskets in the 1st quarter, leading Roeper to a 15-3 lead to start
the 2nd quarter. Roeper’s defense held LNW to 5pts total in the 1st half (all on free throws). By the 3rd quarter when LNW finally made its first basket, the game had been decided. Roeper ended the game winning by 13. Roeper hopes to hit the 10 win mark (currently 9 and 9) on Friday the 26th at home with a win against a solid Huron Valley team.
