You are invited to attend our next LGBTQ+ Parent Affinity Group Meeting on Sunday, Apr 30, 2017, 2-4pm in the Children’s Library in the Steward Bldg., on the Roeper Bloomfield Hills campus. This will be is a safe place to share experiences and become educated and informed about the LGBTQ+ community and how to support our children and one another.
At the April meeting, we will have three speakers: Roz Keith, Founder and Board Chair of “Stand With Trans”, a support group for parents in West Bloomfield, Upper/Middle School Psychological Consultant, Reanne Young and Lower School Counselor, Bob Simon. The last forty-five minutes will be open discussion.

Planning Ahead: The next meeting will tentatively be May 21 Sunday 2-4pm. The plan is to meet monthly beginning again in September. We have many excellent speakers lined up for future meetings including Liliana Reyes of Affirmations, representatives of Roeper’s Gender Blender Club , the Director of PFLAG, and representatives from Cranbrook/Kingswood School’s LGBTQ+ Parent group.
