Senior Phoenix Bieneman was awarded an expense-paid trip to participate in the 2017 Beautiful Minds Symposium at Marlboro College, March 29-31. The Beautiful Minds Symposium brings together high school students from around the world to present projects they’ve created to effect change in the world. The 2017 prompt, “Be the change. Document the effect.”, encouraged high school students to creatively present work they have done to make a positive change in the world. Entries were judged on their creative problem solving, thoughtful presentation, and original, critical and innovative thinking.
Phoenix was an Honorable Mention winner of the Beautiful Minds Challenge with their presentation “The Way the World Talks” (click link and scroll down to read Phoenix’s entry). Phoenix gave the presentation as part of the symposium and had the opportunity to spend three wonderful days in snowy Vermont with award winners from around the world.
