New Faculty: Introducing… Greg Huntoon

Greg is teaching math in the Middle and Upper Schools. He is originally from Ann Arbor where he attended Greenhills School. Before coming to Roeper Greg taught and coached at Greenhills.

What did you do before you came to Roeper? I chose Roeper because of the great sense of community I got from visiting. Everyone knows everyone and both teachers and students really enjoy being at school.

Interests or hobbies? What do you do in your spare time? Big sports fan. College football is my favorite to watch, soccer is my favorite to play. I also do musicals and enjoy professional wrestling.

Anything about your family you want to share? I am one of five kids (the middle) and we were all teenagers for a two month stretch (lucky for our parents!). My sister just had a baby in May, so I am also a new uncle.

Favorite movies: The Social Network and the Princess Bride

Favorite books: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and When The Game Was Ours

Family dog named Race. He is a rescue and loves to hog the bed.

What do you like about teaching? I like teaching because I get to interact with so many people every day.

Anything else you’d like to share? I earned my master’s degree in Sports Broadcast Journalism.

Welcome Greg!
