New Faculty Feature: Jensen Sprowl

Jensen is a very familiar face to our Lower School students and faculty. She very ably took over for Carmen during her maternity leave in the library.

Jensen studied Anthropology, Sociology, and Studio Art at Kalamazoo College, where she received a B.A.and is a Hornets fan! Here is a list of things she has shared about herself:

I love getting outdoors and sharing nature with others. Gardening, fishing, mushroom hunting, backpacking, paddling, traveling, identifying fauna and flora, and planning expeditions are just a few of my favorite pastimes.
I come from a matriarchy made up of many strong female family members/role models.
I find much happiness in discovering new places/spaces, plans for tiny houses, art since 1940 (and creating my own!), and light in life.
The best book I’ve read this year is Woman on the Edge of Time by Marge Piercy.
My favorite poem: The Summer Day by Mary Oliver!
My favorite Roeper moments thus far include purchasing my turtle magnet from the Stage III Rethought Things Store, helping with the Grandparent’s and Special Friend’s Day Book Sale, and discovering a spider on Tire Mountain.
